Minute book, 16 March 1915-10 December 1919, of regular, public, special and executive meetings including two photos of suffragist, Anna Howard Shaw. Also includes a dance program from a dance held 16 January 1920 at the Hotel Rittenhouse, sponsored by the Philadelphia League of Women Citizens in honor of the death of Wolstan Dixey.

Anna Howard Shaw (February 14, 1847 – July 2, 1919) was a leader of the women's suffrage movement in the United States. She was also a physician and one of the first ordained female Methodist ministers in the United States. Born in northern England in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1847, her family left England and immigrated to the United States. In their new country, the Shaws made several moves.
